Overview
The plate heat exchanger is a highly efficient heat exchanger made up of a series of corrugated metal sheets stacked together. A thin rectangular channel is formed between the various plates, through which heat exchange occurs. The plate heat exchanger is an ideal device for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. It has high heat transfer efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, wide application, long service life and other characteristics. Under the same pressure loss condition, its heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger, and its footprint is one-third of that of the tube heat exchanger. The heat recovery rate can be as high as 90% or more.
The types of plate heat exchangers mainly include frame-type (removable) and brazed-type. The plate forms mainly include herringbone corrugated plates, horizontal straight corrugated plates, and nodular plates.
Features
1. Compact structure, removable and cleanable
2. The heat exchange efficiency is 3 times that of the tube-shell type
3. Pressure resistance (2.0MPa), temperature resistance (180℃)
4. The rubber gasket is sealed, which results in high maintenance costs
